This clock is composed of 5 layers of laser cut stylish 'cogwheels' glued on one another, thus looking like a stylish mechanical appliance.
Material: at selection of raw material the main principle I follow is to keep the natural appearance of the wood as much as possible - thus i use plywood, for it bears the naturalness of the wood, still strong and thin enough. Owing to this naturalness small changes in color and pattern may occur (compared to the images attached).
Manufacturing process: the dial of this particular clock is laser cut from 4mm birch plywood board, layers are glued together, then the finishing (polishing, varnishing) is made by hand. On this clock the plywood bears an american walnut veneer - hence the deep brown color.
The movement: is non-ticking, runs with 1 AA size battery (not included in the package). Hands are plastic in silver. Unique hands are available for extra 3USD (see lthe 4th photo)
