Love this heavy duty fancy ring!
It is made from a super unique piece of rusty metal that I found, a kind of frilly brassy washer, which forms the base of the ring. It has a worn painted look, and I love the strange shape. I can’t imagine what it would have been used for, I grabbed it at an antique market.
The embellishment is a big piece of vintage costume jewellery, a crystal brooch. I love the yellow colour of it, it’s hard to find beautiful deep colours in vintage jewellery, so this was a find.
The whole shebang is coated with resin, which protects the rust and your hand when you wear it, and gives the piece a high gloss.
The face of the ring, the washer, is a little over an inch in diameter, and the band is about a size 7. It can be adjusted a bit in size, so let me know if you need. No charge for re-sizing. This ring is a little heavier than most, so not for the lightweight. ;)
