WILDBAD : sterling silver adjective necklace
I found this wonderful decorative text bone piece at the Chelsea fleamarket & knew I had to share it with everyone. Not sure if this would be categorized as scrimshaw. You can see the original in one of the photos here. I love the sawn leafy decoration, pretty even though a section is missing, as well as the old-timey font used.
Cast in solid sterling silver, I have then oxidized it to bring out the texture & decoration. It hangs on a delicate sterling chain.
Necklace measures 18 inches.
wildbad silver rectangle is 2.25 wide by 1 inch tall.
