About
i created these 11” X 18” posters (silkscreen on newsprint) to apply (using wheatpaste) to readymade areas of outstanding (especially political) graffiti (mostly around soho and the lower east side of manhattan…pix show the poster in situ…what you will receive is an individual upsidedown LIFE poster on newsprint suitable for deployment or framing).
the message is intended as a non-specific commentary on the state of world affairs…with the underlying notion that it will require a shift (beginning with a mental action) to turn things around – to make things right.
i have also created small stickers with the same graphic.
(ironically, i was arrested for vandalism for putting the upsidedown LIFE sticker…not the much larger stencil…at the base of a pole at the corner of 2nd ave and 3rd st back in 2005…you are welcome to read the full account at wooster collective)
