About
Hand crocheted with an 85/15 wool/mohair blend in red (tray) and orange (bowl) with a light heathered grey base, this cute set is held together with a leather strip through 2 grommets. This set was wet felted, dried around molds to create their shapes and then steam blocked.
Before wet felting, the bowls are much larger in shape, but with the combination of agitation, hot water and soap the wool fibers interlock and form a firm fabric.
I like having my jewelery visible on my dresser in something functional yet pretty so this tray set was made with this in mind. This set can be used for so much more though! – a catch-all by the door for your essentials, by your sewing area to hold safety pins, bobbins….or in your bathroom for cotton balls and q-tips.
