This is a ring made with a unique object for me: a vintage dog tag. And not the military kind, the one that hangs from your pup’s collar! I acquired a whole collection of these unique little things, and this is the first piece made from one of them.
So the ring band is made from a strip of rusty metal, and the base is made from a dark rusty washer. The dog tag is sort of in a bell shape, and has a lovely rusty pattern. The embellishment is a simple little crystal, removed from a vintage piece of costume jewellery. The whole ring mis coated with resin, which protects the rust and your hand when you wear it, and gives the piece a high gloss.
The face of the ring, including the washer and the off-kilter dog tag, is less than 1.5" in diameter, and the band is a generous size 7. It can be adjusted a bit in size, so let me know if you need. No charge for re-sizing.
