I found these amazingly curved black pads and immediately wanted to attach them to my shoulders. First I thought I would incorporate them into a dress design, but I wanted to make them more versatile, which is when I thought of the elastic harness. A bit of beaded fringe later, and I had somehow made the elastic harness into road warrior-esque body adornment. It’s great for layering over all sorts of things, and can take a basic black dress from chic and simple to tough and modern.
The harness itself is made of black elastic, with glossy black plastic clasps at the front and a steel ring at the back. The shoulder pads are lightweight foam with a smooth poly/nylon covering. The beaded trim is attached with a zig-zag stitch all around and is quite secure.
Since the harness is made of elastic it will fit quite a few people, however I’m calling this one a small/medium. The elastic measures 26" around the ribcage, unstretched, and will stretch comfortably up to 30". If you need the fit to be tighter, let me know as this is a fairly easy adjustment to make. If you need a larger size shoot me a message, I’m always open to making custom sizes, equal fashion for all!
