radical laundry-drying apparatus

About
let’s face it – this is a 20’ length of cotton rope in a clever package. somehow in our culture we’ve gotten out of the habit of using free, 100% natural AIR to dry our laundry, even when it’s convenient. heck, clotheslines are even illegal in some places. but by allowing things to air-dry, we eliminate carbon emissions and save on our electricity bill. this basic laundry-drying apparatus serves as a reminder that drying clothes the old-fashioned way not only feels a little rebellious, it’s also healthier for us and the planet.
understandably, air-drying laundry is not always convenient, especially for those in small apartments or humid environments. may we humbly suggest hanging just the heavier items, such jeans and towels, instead of wasting all those quarters on heat?
there’s much more excellent info at laundrylist.org, and even a petition to restore the right to dry at “right2dry.org”: http://right2dry.org/

Thank you for pointing out the waste of energy involved in drying clothes - personally I don't to minimize wear & tear and to save quarters, but I do think people should be reminded that we don't always have to use gadgets to get things done!
