Nest & Eggs No. 113 Framed Print
Handmade On Peconic Bay
About
CURRENTLY SOLD OUT
One of a kind framed cyanotype Nest & Eggs print of an abandoned bird’s nest with three tiny hatched eggs, from an original digital image by Matt Shapoff, on hand torn bright white Rives BFK 300 gsm paper. 7 1/2" SQ (19cm).
Combining a 19th century iron based photographic process with modern design, Matt Shapoff creates his solar generated blueprints on acid-free fine art paper, at his indoor/outdoor studio on Peconic Bay. Each print is a unique exposure from an original digital image. Cyanotype prints are created by exposing photosensitized paper in the sun.
Signed by the artist, mounted on archival museum board and framed in an upcycled wood frame made from reclaimed Wyoming pine snow fence with anti-glare glass.
Frame is 2" wide (5cm) and 11 3/8" SQ (28.9cm). Sawtooth picture hanger and product information card about cyanotype photographic prints on back.
Minor defects are part of the natural charm of our reclaimed wood frames.
