This is a piece in a series I’ve recently started involving images of Nantucket, an island off the coast of Massachusetts. I was also wanted to explore negative space and the impact it had on the image.
The image is one of my digital photographs (taken at Nantucket’s Brant Point) that I printed onto a transfer paper and applied to the panel. I then applied more acrylic paint for texture. It was coated in UV-protective spray and acrylic varnish.
Truly a unique piece for any home! Ready to frame or hang (sides are painted white).
