The design for this set of cards is from my original drawing of a leafy ginkgo branch. Once the drawing was finished we had it converted to a metal plate then we hand mixed a rich green ink color. Next, we printed each card, one-by-one, on our hand-fed, foot powered, 100 year old, Chandler & Price letterpress.
The paper used to make these cards and envelopes is made from 100% tree-free cotton paper. Instead of cutting down virgin timber, cotton fibers are harvested from the garment industry. The fibers are too short to be made into fabric so they are collected and made into this luxurious paper.
