About
iType: Message Poster
iType is a “stereotype” that came from a desire to embed metaphor, mythology, popular culture, and innuendo into a typeface. At the time (2005), the now-ubiquitous iPod ads were just being plastered on subway walls. This poster in the four-poster series showcases an important message: “It is fun to send messages in code that people can read. The important thing is to get the message through. It is better to have the receiver read every letter.”
