I am offering this special piece in my “Hive” collection as a limited edition. This listing is for one of only 50 pieces that will be available. Perfect for established collectors as well as someone who is looking for an unique piece to begin their collection. Each piece is signed and numbered and will include a certificate of authenticity.
Completely hand-formed from the finest English porcelain, this platter will draw attention, whether used as a serving piece or a decorative piece. Left unglazed, the sculptural exterior reminds me of honeycomb, with an organic, repetitive pattern.
Offering a bold contrast to the natural porcelain on the exterior, the interior is coated with one of my new glazes – lagoon – a blend of matte metallic green with a slight pale bronze blush around the rim and a shiny bronze with a hint of blue pools and crackles at the center. The effect reminds me of patina on copper and is really striking.
The platter measures approximately 14" in diameter x 2.25" tall.
I suggest hand washing with warm soapy water, but it is dishwasher safe. This bowl is also food safe.
Because this item is handmade, it is unique and measurements are approximate.
