Look what I caught! A cicada!!!!!
This definitely doesn’t fit into the sweets category of my jewelry, but I was drawn to this detailed brass cicada charm and immediately wanted to make it into a beautiful, striking ring.
I soldered a sterling silver ring band onto the bottom of the bug so that it would sit perfectly on my finger, where the knuckle bends and the band sits right where a ring band should-as shown in the pics.
Surprisingly comfortable, unusually light, delicate piece.
This will grab attention wherever you go-it’s bound to stir up conversations!
*The cicada measures 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. Coloring turns out almost rose gold due to heating-awesome color.
**If you would like the ring plated in 14K gold, white gold, or embellished with some stones, let me know and we can do that!
