This is one of my favourites from the new collection of rings!
This is an assemblage of found objects, including a silver washer as its base, a thin one framing the image, and the black and copper textured piece in the middle. Here’s the story with that lovely circle feature: I rescued an old frame from a vintage market here in Toronto, and removed the piece of “art” inside. It was the image of a horse running, printed in copper on a matte black background, and horses are great, but the image was kinda cheesy. Luckily, when you cut it apart, you end up with abstract bits of texture, like the one featured here. It will definitely show up on a few more rings here and there.
As per usual, the band of the ring is made from a piece of rusted metal and measures a little lss than a half inch wide. As well, the whole ring is coated with resin, which protects the rust and your hand when you wear it, and gives the piece a high gloss.
The face of the ring, the washer, is about a little over an inch in diameter, and the band is about a size 7. It can be adjusted a bit in size, so let me know if you need. No charge for re-sizing.
