I was shocked when I heard that fashion designer extraordinaire Alexander McQueen had died at age 40. His ability to dream and design outside-the-box remains an inspiration to us all of us in creative fields. I’m sure McQueen will be elevated to the status of a demi-God in the fashion illustration classes and sewing rooms at FIT, budding designers creating collections inspired by his past looks. May he rest in peace with his dear mother, who also passed away earlier this month.
This eco bamboo and organic shirt is printed with semi-transparent silver ink that ages a bit over time, giving the shirt a vintage feel. The design is an eye-catching collage of looks from McQueen’s 2009/2010 Collections. I really like this design because people who know McQueen’s work will recognize its origin, whereas those who don’t will probably think it’s merely futuristic…

• 30% organic cotton jersey (fine 150 G/4.4 OZ.)

• COUP branding with ‘recycle’ symbol bleached onto one sleeve in silver ink
• machine wash cold, hang dry to keep heat-sensitive bamboo from shrinking!
• design will appear slightly smaller or larger on shirt, depending on the size your order (i.e. larger on size S, and smaller on size L)
Sizing: This eco fabric is stretchy, yet almost clings to your skin. It shrinks with excessive heat or hot water, so it is always better to size up.
