This beautiful sculptural vessel is one of my signature designs. As with all my pieces, I lovingly make each Crocus Vase myself in my New York studio, one at a time without any molds or casts. This ensures that each one is a unique, heirloom quality piece. The one pictured is the one you will receive.
Made on the wheel, then altered to achieve its sculptural appearance. The exterior surface has a naked, unglazed finish which has been accented with a vine inspired slip design. The slip design is comprised of individually applied dots which are slightly raised above the surface. This along with the matte finish of the raw clay gives the piece a natural yet sophisticated appearance.
The interior of the vessel is covered with a glossy, clear glaze and is water-tight.
Measures approximately 8"H with a 2"W opening. Makes a lovely wedding gift.
