The City Chick bowl was inspired by urban life, graffiti and street signs – this is no country bird…
It has glossy black glaze to emphasize its markings, and rest of it is unglazed to show off the creamy textured clay and create a bold contrast.
There are many uses for the little city chick. It would make the perfect holder for a little tea light candle, use it to keep jewelry safe at night, or use it as a little soap dish. Then again, you might decide to keep it empty for decoration.
Each little bird is unique. Its features were individually stamped and glazed, so there may be very slight variation between chicks. It is made from strong textured white clay and fired to stoneware temperature, so it is strong, despite its delicate form.
It measures approx 4" × 3.5" × 1" height. (10 × 9 × 2.5cm)
