One of the styles that STS has become known for, the Checker buckle has been sold to sophisticated buckle wearers in the US, London and Denmark.
It is created from slices of square steel and treated like a piece of jewelry in construction and finish. Protected with a durable wax, this buckle polishes as it is worn. Looks great with formal wear or jeans, and is lightweight. It measures 3" by 2.25" and is about 1/8" thick.
Get the original checker buckle here, and match it with one of my beautiful hand crafted leather straps. I recommend either black, british tan or ochre. The straps are listed separately, and shipping is free on this item.
