Where can I ship my products?

You can ship your products anywhere you choose to. You can even set it up so some of your products can be shipped internationally, while others can’t.

What are Shipping Classes for?

A Shipping Class defines where a product can be shipped (what countries you’ll ship it to) and at what rate. You can add as many countries to a shipping class as you want, and you can charge whatever rate makes sense for each destination. You can even offer free shipping if you want.

Every product you add to Supermarket needs to be assigned a shipping class.

Note: when you create a shipping class, you’re asked to assign two values for each destination: the rate for the 1st Item and the rate for any Additional Items (that are part of the same order). For example, if a customer orders two items from you, you usually want to give them a break on the cost of shipping the second item. In most cases shipping a package with two things in it doesn’t cost you twice as much as shipping a package with one item in it.

How do I let a customer know when their product will ship?

You should fill out the Ships In field to let customers know your turnaround time. For example, your item might ship in 1 day, in 1-2 days, or in approx. 2 weeks. The more accurate your info, the less likely you are to get inquiries from customers asking where their order is.
