we make jewelry out of silver and glass…
after learning to make jewelry in mexico and getting a fancy art degree, teresa robinson moved to portland, oregon to be a grown up. real jobs didn’t work out so well, so in the fall of 2002, she quit her last one, got a studio space and started making jewelry and selling it to local shops. people liked it. so she sold some more. and got a bigger studio space. and now, 5 years later, making jewelry has become a real live full time job.
smallthings is currently made up of 3 people (and teresa’s dog, marcelle) making lots and lots of jewels in our very lovely-if not a little messy-studio in southeast portland.
teresa does the designing and cutting out of things and tries to pretend to be in charge. shelley puts chains on a million necklaces a day and gets things out the door and keeps teresa in line and makes sure the emails get answered. becca is really good at making bezels and soldering things and loves to polish more than anything in the world…
thanks for liking what we make.
