Grégoire started his collection of alphabet images when he and his wife could not find any suitable decoration for their first born daughter’s room. He started shooting individual letters and illustrations on his daily journeys and assembled them together as collages. His first image spelled out “Léa”, his daughter’s first name.
The collection quickly grew to include alphabets and illustrated alphabets, exploring a different theme with each. His first and most popular illustrated alphabet is featured here and focuses on New York. Others themes include foods, animals, boys, girls and the urban environment.
His images are printed as digital c-prints in editions of 100. Each can be printed as large as 40" × 50", or as small as 11" × 14".
