Georgia Varidakis, a native of New York, spent much of her childhood tinkering around her father’s shoe repair shop, keeping herself busy turning scraps and buckles into bracelets and other accoutrement. This first burst of passion was born, to create, to inspire, amidst the organized clutter and musty chaos of her father’s shop.
Blending her father’s aptitude with her mother’s seamstress skills, Georgia harnessed these inherited energies, combing vintage fabrics and jewelry components, making one of a kind corsets and clothing. Soon, she moved solely to focus of her personal line.
It was then that Georgia Varidakis Jewelry was born.
As the years passed, Georgia emerged onto the local scene, creating a unique collection of jewelry, serving as landmark model of natural and archetypal beauty. With each new creation, Georgia infuses a timeless and elegant feel, creating modern day heirlooms, passed from mother to daughter, to lover or bride.
There is a quixotic elegance to her pieces, both feminine and sweet, yet bold and as solid as the metals she works with.
Georgia’s mission is to search for forgotten treasures that can inspire new designs, fresh and original in their concept.
