In response to the obsession with material possessions and luxury culture we have transformed an object of grandeur to an image or suggestion of itself by reducing it to its barest silhouette. This image is then translated in an industrial material using industrial methods. The silhouettes of earrings worn by royalty are made from a plastic often used as name tags for service workers and the silhouette of ornate chandeliers are cut from fluorescent light panel covers. Whenever possible we reclaim and make use of discarded manufacturer scraps.
