Guipure lace, which is to textiles what gold is to metals and diamonds to rocks, has mostly been seen in high fashion due to its fine detail and high price.
After experimenting with lace as jewelry inspired by Edie Sedgwick’s incredible statement earrings, This Ilk is exploring guipure’s versatility in as many forms as possible. At the moment apparel is the main source of inspiration and hundreds of ideas are about to take form so stay tuned!
