About Sean Tubridy
Although we may feel fortunate to live in the age of the iPod, the true golden era of design occupied the middle of the last century. The art of objects extended from big-ticket items like cars and furniture, all the way down to chrome kitchen appliances and transistor radios. It was a sleek, optimistic time; an age of robots, space needles and ‘houses of the future’.I have a warm fondness for these objects and I try to illustrate not only their physical attributes but the feelings behind them. My main objective is to make people smile.
