All items are made by me, Jill Harrell, in my San Francisco studio. My trusty 1958 Singer slant-o-matic machine is my partner in crime. Together we create one-of-a-kind sewn art pieces. In 2003 I earned my degree in industrial design from CCAC in California. In 2006, I wiped the boogers from my eyes to see that my true passion is in one-off design, thus Scabby Robot was born! I strive to be environmentally conscious in my designs. I focus on creating only “precious” items, that is items you would never dream of throwing away when you are done using them. Purses, shoes, leather goods…. All of these items typically find their way to Goodwill many times over before going to landfill. In this way, by purchasing a Scabby Robot Design, you are supporting the creation of useful, well-made objects, with long lives.Wholesale now available!
